[For Data Managers](https://support.pupilprogress.com/migration/helpcentre/for-data-managers?hsLang=en) # How to assign your Subject Leaders on Pupil Progress ## Subject Lead info is not pulled from your MIS, but can be changed under the 'My School' tab Whilst staff details are pulled through when Pupil Progress syncs up with your school's MIS (SIMS/Bromcom/Arbor etc), Groupcall is unable to distinguish between teachers and subject leaders - this means that they will need to be assigned manually. There are a couple of ways that you could do this: ### 1. By subject To assign subject leader status by subject, select the **Subject Areas** option that appears after hovering over **My School**. This page will show a full list of the subjects your school as access to, and which users are currently assigned as teachers or leaders.    To add a user as a leader, begin typing their name in the box under **Leaders**, find them from the list that comes up, and then click **Add Leader** to confirm.  ![Subject leader via areas](https://support.pupilprogress.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Subject%20leader%20via%20areas.gif?width=688&height=338&name=Subject%20leader%20via%20areas.gif) ### 2. By staff member Alternatively, it may be more effective to assign individual staff members as a subject lead of multiple subject areas at the same time. To do this, instead select **Staff** under **My School**, and then find the user that you are looking to change permissions for.
