Unique Pupil Numbers (UPNs)

UPNs are the only essential piece of information that we require in order to upload your students to Pupil Progress. These can come in the form of the official UPNs generated by the government, or in the form of any code that is unique to each student such as an admission number.

UPNs are essential as it ensures that no students are duplicated when adding them to new classes, it also helps to discern between students of the same name, and it also helps to make sure that the analytics tools work correctly.

Sub-Category Data

The sub-cat data is what helps the analytics tools to shine, this information can come in the form of Pupil Premium details, SEN needs, KS2 data and form groups to name a few.

Once you've entered this data for your students, you can use the analytics to identify specific areas of your school that are excelling, or that may require improvement, perhaps by identifying the attainment difference between those with SEN needs compared to those without, or the difference in grades between males and females at your school.

This analysis helps to quickly identify areas to focus on to ensure that the entirety of your cohort are achieving the best of their ability.
