Attainment 8 is a whole school performance measure that is calculated based on the grades achieved by students across 8 key subjects, split in to 3 elements (or buckets).
The grade for each subject is converted to an A8 value. The best A8 values in each of the elements is then selected and added together with some additional rules applied:
Best English (x2 if Literature & Language sat)
Best Maths x2
Best 3 EBacc from any of:
Science | Computer Science
Geography | History
Modern Foreign Languages
Best 3 Open Subjects
