Switch your students' tier and find out which data will be transferred to the new tier.
Switching students tier
To switch a students tier:
Click Live Tracking
Click the Tools toggle
Click Move Tiers or Class
You have the option to change the tier of students on an individual basis or the whole class at a time by clicking on either Set All to F or Set All to H.
Select the tier for the students you wish to switch, then click the Save Changes button
You will be taken back to the tier you were viewing before the changes. You can change the tier view by clicking the H | F toggle in the top bar.
What data is moved with the student?
Any Customised Assessments that were added to both tiers when it was originally set up. This is because there is an equivalent version on both tiers of the tracker.
If the Customised Assessment has Custom Grade Boundaries, the grade for the customised assessment will be the same on both tiers as they use the same grade boundaries. Our trackers will also calculate a scaled score for the Customised Assessment that means it will contribute the right amount towards the unit and course no matter which tier it is on. What data does not show on the new tier?
Published Assessments are only relevant to one tier or the other, so data from these remains in its corresponding tier. The data is not lost though; if you switch the student back to their original tier, the data will show again.
For example a higher tier Published Assessment will not show for a student on foundation tier, but if they are switched back to Higher tier it will reappear again
If you added a Customised Assessment to Higher tier only when you first added it to your tracker, it does not exist on the Foundation tier tracker and therefore will not show for that student. The data in the higher tier tracker will still be saved, so if that student is moved back in to Higher Tier, you will see it again.
