If you're a School Admin, you'll be able to add students to your school's students list.

From the top menu, select My School and then go to Students from the dropdown.

Accessing students menu

You'll see a button that allows you to Import Students from XLS which can also be used to update students background information.

Click it and select Download XLS Template:

Downloading xls template

Follow the guidance on the template. The only key data needed here is the students UPN, First Name and Surname. Any blank values on the template will be ignored - it will not overwrite current information.

Once you've entered all your students' details on the template, save the file and then click on Upload import file.

What if the UPNs don't match a student on Pupil Progress?

If the UPN does not exist, then a manually managed student will be created. If they already exist, our system will check it is the same student and notify you if it looks different.

What if we have autosynced students?

Only non-achievement related data will be autosynced with Groupcall. You will still need to add assessment information such as:

  • KS2 Scaled Scores

  • Reading age

  • KS2 Prior Attainment

  • CAT scores

  • KS4 Academic Average Point Score and KS4 Applied General Average Point Score

This can all be done using this template. Any autosynced information will be updated every night and will automatically update.

I can't see the "Students" tab - what do I do?

This functionality is currently enabled for School Admins only. If your permission level is below that, you would have to get in touch with a member of staff who is labelled as a School Admin on your school's account. They can either choose to upgrade your permission level or complete the upload for you.

Alternatively, you can always get in touch with us through the helpdesk. You can do this using the little blue button on the bottom right corner of your screen.
